Independence for women is often a luxury. I consider myself very lucky to have the means to live life on my own terms. Financial freedom gave me the power to not be liable to anyone but myself. To rely on someone other than myself means giving the person an opportunity to take away the independence that I’ve worked so hard for.

I’m a career-oriented woman who’s hungry for success and doing well on my job is what brings me happiness. Working as the marketing lead for Hysab Kytab, it’s a dream of mine to see the brand reach a point where they would say “Hysab Kytab it” when they think of budgeting expenses.

People think that prioritizing your career often at times means taking out less time for yourself but that isn’t true. It’s all about finding the right balance. No matter what I do, I always make sure to take out a little bit of time for myself where I read a book or sit down to paint. I’m also working towards financing my own master’s abroad in the field of MarTech.

There will always be days where success seems far away and you’re not sure about where life is heading but in times like this, always remember that hard work is the true key to success. Your efforts will always pay off, if not now then later. Never let one setback define you.
