Kazim’s Story

Humans of JBS/

As kids, we all like to picture what our future might look like, and what our life would be like as an adult. However, even with our wildest imagination, we’re not able to perceive the person we’re going to be. During this journey, there are some things that have a bigger impact than others. For me, this impact came from my university.

I belong to Habib University’s very first batch. It was a very last-minute decision that required me to take a leap of faith. Yet, it proved to be one of the best decisions of my life. Habib not only helped me grow as a person but also gave me lifelong friends who are a lot like my family now.

Something that most people don’t know about me is that I’ve studied engineering. We’ve got a stereotype of what an engineer should be like. When most people think about engineers, they think about their technical skills and capabilities. Engineering is much more than that. It teaches you to find creative solutions to a problem. It’s probably what brought me to JBS to lead the Business Excellence and Innovation vertical. I have a knack for creativity and design, I love to experiment and find, out-of-the-box solutions to streamline processes.

I’m all about new experiences and making the most of small moments. Whether it’s sharing stories with a friend over a cup of chai, singing along to old songs in car rides or stargazing on a trip up north. I like watching scientific videos and reading up on how philosophers view the world we live in. I’m always awed by how far we’ve come yet just how little we know about the vastness of the universe.
