Arshad’s Story

Humans of JBS/

As humans, sometimes we tend to overcomplicate things. I believe in leading a simple life and being happy with what I have. We don’t always need extraordinary achievements in order to be content. Instead of thinking about the past or the future, I prefer to live in the present and go with the flow.

It’s very rare to find a workplace that feels like home. Jaffer is that home away from home for me. I started working here as an intern and 30 years later, I’ve grown with the company itself. Things were challenging at first, but I persevered with the mindset that nothing is ever too difficult. You tend to learn a lot when you keep trying and refuse to give up.

Funnily enough, I also met my wife at Jaffer. I’ve been married to her for 25 years and counting. She stopped working after we got married, but to this day we do everything together. We have three kids, and our biggest achievement has been the fact that we’ve been able to provide them with a good education. As of now, two of my kids also work at JBS. Jaffer has truly played a big part in my life and I can only imagine how different things would’ve been if I hadn’t come here. Taking care of my responsibilities at work and at home has been enough for me to lead a meaningful life. I like to prioritize the things I do. When I’m not working or spending time with my family, I like interacting with different people and learning about new things.
