My life outside of work is one of discipline and focus. While my career takes up a big part of my day, the gym is my sacred escape. It’s where I find myself—where lifting weights becomes more than just a routine. It’s a passion, a part of who I am. Four days a week, I dedicate myself to deadlifts, bench presses, and leg presses. I’ve pushed my limits to deadlift 80 kilograms, bench press 45 kilograms, and leg press over 220 kilograms. Each session isn’t just about physical strength; it’s about resilience and mental toughness, a reminder of what I’m capable of overcoming.
Beyond the gym, I thrive on growth and exploration. A pivotal moment in my life was when I transitioned from a decade-long career in education to the corporate world. It wasn’t easy, but I embraced the challenge because I believe in reinvention. For me, life is about stepping out of my comfort zone, chasing new experiences, and learning along the way. This drive isn’t limited to personal growth—I’m equally passionate about making a difference. Whether through public sector education, social awareness campaigns like breast cancer and thalassemia prevention, or working with government schools to create innovative learning environments, I’ve always sought to leave a meaningful impact.
If I could meet someone from my past, it would be my niece, who we lost far too soon at the age of 14. She brought so much joy to our lives, and I wish I had the chance to tell her how much her love meant to us. This longing reflects how deeply I value the people in my life and the connections that shape us.
In another life, I see myself as a counselor or therapist. I’ve always had a knack for listening and understanding others, helping them navigate emotions and find clarity. Even in my education career, I created spaces where empathy and inclusivity thrived, making sure every student felt valued. My certifications in neuro-linguistic programming reflect my fascination with understanding human behavior and my commitment to making a positive difference in people’s lives.
When I reflect on my journey, I feel immense pride in the milestones I’ve achieved. Leaving behind a stable career in education to step into the corporate world was a bold decision, but it’s one I’m glad I made. Starting as a project manager and growing into the role of Head of Service Delivery showed me the power of perseverance and hard work. One of my most cherished accomplishments is a remedial education program I developed. It went beyond academics to nurture emotional intelligence and help students break free from limiting labels. Seeing young minds grow and thrive has been one of the most rewarding parts of my journey.
If I were to give advice to the younger generation, it would be to stay rooted and patient. In a world obsessed with quick wins, I believe loyalty and commitment still matter. Life is a long journey, and understanding your goals while building meaningful connections along the way is key. My story is about determination, empathy, and a lifelong passion for growth—and I hope it inspires others to find their own paths with courage and purpose.
