Acts of Kindness at your Workplace by Usama Khan, Jaffer Customer Services, Jaffer Business Systems

“Every little act of kindness is Sadqa”, said Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him); Sahih Al-Bukhari: 6021

This hadith clearly indicates the importance of little acts of kindness and it turns into great rewards. One does not need to be wealthy to show kindness. Just greeting someone with a smile on your face is also counted as act of kindness.
Workplace culture is made up of shared values and beliefs which represent the very character and personality of an organization.
Kind gestures can help build a workplace with happier teams. Such gestures eradicate negativity and create positive, protective and healthy environment which Here are a few kind deeds you can easily do practice at your workplace:

  • Compliment people.
  • Learn the names of your security guards and janitorial staff you see every day and greet them with a smile on your face & shake hands.
  • Be available to your colleagues for any support they need.
  • Post compliments/thank you notes at your colleagues’ work-space to make them feel appreciated.
  • If you find your colleagues depressed, bring them a cup of coffee and try your best to help.
  • Don’t wait for the cleaners to come and clean your workspace if there is any mess, instead get up and do it yourself and show gratitude to the ones who clean if for you every day.

Try to practice these and many more little acts of kindness and build positive, happy environment around you.
